The 2024 St. Joe's United Way Campaign is ramping up!

St. Joe's, it's time once again to show your #LocalLove

Last year, we not only reached our goal of raising $25,000…we blew it out of the water and raised an astounding $33,028!

We want to say thank you, St. Joe's, for all the support you've provided over the years to our the United Way Halton and Hamilton.  This will help to provide essential programs and services for the most vulnerable people right here in Hamilton!

Our goal this year is $25,000 and we’re counting on you to help us get there. We have a TON of great events planned for this year, and including a Plane Pull, Gift Card Survivor, Pizza Day, Smile Cookies on top of the many one-time and ongoing donations, we hope to make this year our most successful campaign ever!

Want to know how to get involved? It’s easy! Keep an eye out for screensavers and N2K for all of the details including our Gift Card Survivor event where you can win a ton of great gift cards, just in time for the holiday season, we have a promotional Pizza Day from Dominoes that will be running and of course, we have our Payroll Deduction campaign taking place once again with a ton of great prizes to be won.

2024 Gift Card Survivor

Can you Outwit, Outplay and Outshop to win HUNDREDS of DOLLARS in gift cards? Then sign up for Gift Card Survivor where you could win a HUGE cache of gift cards - right in time for the holidays!  All you do is pay $40 (with $20 entrance fee and a $20 gift card of your choice).  Once you enroll, you’ll be signed up to Outwit, Outplay and Outshop your colleagues in competing with one another to win a treasure trove of gift cards while supporting our UW campaign along the way.

How it Works:

Participants will pay a registration fee and bring a gift card (or provide cash to the UW committee who will purchase one for you) in order to participate. Gift Card Survivor will have a daily drawing of a name to be “voted off” and removed from the final draw. If you purchase immunity, your name will be returned one time. The last member standing will win the gift cards

How to Sign Up:

  • Submit payment plus your gift card, or cash for a gift card to be purchased for you
    • Contact Erica Howard at ehoward1009@gmail.com  to arrange gift card drop off, or to request an e-transfer option and Erica will purchase a gift card for you from one of these 12 options:

  • Immunity can only be purchased before the game commences
  • 1 immunity can be purchased per person
  • “Voting Off” will take place every day at 12 p.m. by email, and each name will be drawn by someone from the United Way committee

Where Your Support Goes:

Click here to view this year’s United Way Impact Video to learn more about the work that United Way is doing in our community.

We know that life is getting harder for the most vulnerable people in our community.  By supporting the United Way, you are supporting a network of 106 front-line social programs serving over one hundred thousand people and help transform our community into something better. When individuals come forward for help, they are often accessing multiple programs. By donating to United Way, you will invest in:

  • 21,916 Seniors to improve their wellness and sense of belonging.
  • 49,269 Children and youth access basic needs and positive influences.
  • 15,144 Women who face barriers to inclusion and prosperity.

A donation of any amount makes a difference. Here are a few examples of what your support can do:

  • $100 provides 1 victim of human trafficking 3.5 hours of support by a police/court worker.
  • $250 provides 250 safe, healthy snacks or meals to ensure student academic success.
  • $1,200 ($100/month makes you a Leadership donor) provides 120 individuals with clothing appropriate for interviews and work activities.

Help connect 143,562+ people to the supports and services they need by donating to the United Way Halton and Hamilton today.
